Overview
The brief.
Gamaliel’s “Forever More” explores a surreal visual world built around live-action performance and CG. The project combines 3D environments, abstract forms, and compositing to create a dreamlike atmosphere throughout the music video. My role focused on developing and integrating CG elements into selected scenes, with particular attention to making the visuals work within the dark, low-light cinematography.

The Challenge
Making CG work in the dark.
The visual language relied heavily on dark, low-light footage, which made integrating CG into the live-action scenes especially challenging. The CG needed to feel naturally embedded within the existing lighting and atmosphere rather than appearing as an element placed on top. The challenge was finding the right balance between visibility, depth, contrast, and realism while keeping the surreal quality of the visuals.
the solution
Building atmosphere through CG and compositing.
I developed and composited CG elements across selected scenes, using reflective surfaces, abstract environments, and controlled lighting to extend the visual world of the music video. Rather than treating CG as a separate layer, the approach focused on matching its lighting, contrast, and movement to the live-action footage. This allowed the CG to become part of the scene while preserving the dark and cinematic character of the film.
